JP La Forest is a Senior Advisor based in Detroit. He was previously Director & Acting Country Manager of Tenneco Korea Ltd, a subsidiary of Tenneco Inc, a $6.2B auto components company. Before opening Tenneco’s office and operation in Korea, he worked on Korea, Japan, and China growth strategies as Director – Business Development. He previously co-founded Slingshot Solutions, which developed online marketplaces to accelerate asset recovery and reverse logistics. He worked as a consultant to the automotive industry, first with Booz.Allen & Hamilton and then at General Motors. He also lived in Japan and worked in China. He held product engineering roles at Tenneco and AAP St. Mary’s, a subsidiary of Hitachi Metals. He has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton.
