JAY SHIN | Senior Associate

Jay Shin is a Senior Associate based in Seoul. Before joining BDA, Mr. Shin worked as an Investment Analyst at Prytania Investment Advisors LLP, a London-based hedge fund. Prior to that, Mr. Shin worked at Hyundai Motor Company, where he served as a North American Regional Specialist. Mr. Shin holds a BS in Business Administration from Ohio State University, a BS in Business Administration from Yonsei University, and a Masters in Finance from the London Business School. He is a CFA level 3 candidate. He is fluent in English and Korean.

SHARIQ SIDDIQUI | Senior Associate

Shariq Siddiqui is a Senior Associate based in London. He has experience in Europe-Asia M&A advisory mandates across diverse sectors including advanced manufacturing, chemicals, electronics, water and education. Prior to joining BDA, Mr. Siddiqui was at India Advisory Partners, a corporate finance advisory firm focused on India, where he worked on a number of M&A and entry strategy assignments for multinational clients in sectors including auto components, telecoms and financial services. Mr. Siddiqui previously also worked for RentWorks, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing structured lease transactions for multinational clients in India. Before RentWorks he worked as a financial analyst at GE Capital in Mumbai. Mr. Siddiqui received an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, India and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the University of Mumbai. He is fluent in English and Hindi.

TANYA WANG | Senior Associate

Tanya Wang is a Senior Associate based in Shanghai. Prior to joining BDA, Ms. Wang worked at the Assurance and Advisory Business Service Department of Ernst & Young Shanghai, where she was responsible for PRC and IFRS statutory audit, internal control evaluation, credit review, financial statement analysis, IPO audit, and due diligence for M&A transactions by multinational companies. Her clients include Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Mizuho Corporate Bank, United Overseas Bank, Fuji Xerox and Lear, and more. Ms. Wang graduated from Peking University with double B.A. degrees, in English literature as well as Economics and Finance. She speaks fluent Mandarin and English.

JONATHAN AIKEN | Associate

Jonathan Aiken is an Associate based in London. Before joining BDA, Mr. Aiken worked for Taylor-DeJongh on global project finance in the energy and infrastructure sectors. In this capacity, he worked on a variety of projects, including toll roads in North America, infrastructure projects on the African continent and energy projects in the Middle East. Prior to that, he worked at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation’s portfolio management division in Washington D.C. Mr. Aiken holds an MBA and a Masters in International Affairs from the George Washington University. Mr. Aiken has passed the second level of the CFA. He is fluent in English and French and proficient in Mandarin.

AHMED AL BALOOSHI | Associate

Ahmed Al Balooshi is an Associate based in Shanghai and Bahrain. Mr. Al Balooshi completed training programs with the regional corporate finance and investment banking groups of Citigroup and BNP Paribas. In 2006, Mr. Al Balooshi participated in Merrill Lynch Dubai's global private client training program and in 2004, he completed a summer program with Arab Banking Corporation focused on the fundamentals of applied Islamic Finance. Mr. Al Balooshi holds a Masters in Finance from Instituto de Empresa Business School in Madrid and a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Beirut. He is fluent in Arabic and English and conversant in Mandarin.

DOROTHY CAI | Associate

Dorothy Cai is an Associate based in Shanghai. Before joining BDA, Ms. Cai worked as an Equity Research Analyst for China International Capital Corporation (CICC), one of the leading Chinese investment banks. Ms. Cai covered listed companies in Shanghai and Hong Kong with a focus on the Steel sector. She conducted in-depth industrial research and prepared investment reports based on market intelligence and quantitative modeling. Prior to that, Ms. Cai worked in Assurance and Advisory Business Service Department of Ernst & Young Shanghai, where she provided auditing and internal control evaluation services for MNCs and SOEs. Ms. Cai holds a MBA from China Europe International Business School and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Peking University. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.

ALEXANDER DITCHFIELD | Associate

Alexander Ditchfield is an Associate based in Shanghai. Before joining BDA, he worked on policy for the European Union’s SWITCH-Asia and Asia Invest projects, promoting sustainable development, trade and investment flow between EU and Asia, at the EU Project Incubation (EUPIC) Centre in Chengdu, China. He graduated with a BSc in Economics from Cardiff University in the UK. He speaks Mandarin and English.

BADRISH KRISHNAN | Associate

Badrish Krishnan is an Associate based in New York. Before joining BDA, Mr. Krishnan was a Manager at Clarabridge, a Washington DC based consumer marketing company. He was responsible for financial planning and devising marketing strategies for retail banks and asset management firms. Prior to Clarabridge, Mr. Krishnan was with Atlantic Consulting in New York, where he managed strategy engagements at bulge bracket investment banks, private equity firms, and energy and utility companies. Before that, Mr. Krishnan was a Business Analyst at Liz Claiborne, a Fortune 500 retailer. Mr. Krishnan has an MBA from INSEAD France and University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, a Masters from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelors from IIT Madras, India. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Tamil, and speaks basic French.

MARC LIU | Associate

Marc Liu is an Associate based in New York. Before joining BDA, Mr. Liu worked for the New York City Economic Development Corporation. He previously worked for a consulting firm, APCO China, in Beijing, providing advice on investment, government relations and communications. Mr. Liu graduated with a Masters in International Affairs, focused in International Finance and Policy, jointly from Columbia University and Sciences Po, Paris. He is bilingual in English and French and speaks fluent Mandarin.

DIWAKAR MITR | Associate

Diwakar Mitr is an Associate based in Mumbai. Prior to joining BDA, Mr. Mitr worked as a trading analyst at Transparent Shares & Securities Pvt. Ltd where he was responsible for analyzing and trading Indian equities on the National Stock Exchange of India. Mr. Mitr graduated from Dartmouth College in US with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science. He is fluent in Hindi and English.

JASON SONG | Associate

Jason Song is an Associate based in Shanghai. Mr. Song was previously based in BDA's New York and Tokyo offices and has experience originating and executing advisory mandates in the United States, China, Japan and Korea. Before joining BDA, Mr. Song worked at the Carbon Disclosure Project in London, where he undertook research on electrical utilities for leading US pension funds. Prior to that, he worked in the office of Phil Willis, MP in the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. Mr. Song holds a BA in Economics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, a Maîtrise in Political Science from the University of Paris and an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He speaks English, Chinese and French.

KEVIN SONG | Associate

Kevin Song is an Associate based in Shanghai. Prior to joining BDA, he was an Investment Analyst at Global Market Trading Group in New York, providing PE investment assessment, due diligence, research, and target valuation advice in North American and Asian markets. He holds an MSc degree from the School of Engineering and Applied Science in Columbia University, an MSc degree from the School of Mathematics of Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and English.

CHRISTOPHE WALEWSKI | Associate

Christophe Walewski is an Associate based in London. Before joining BDA, Mr. Walewski worked for Ernst & Young in Paris, where he audited major manufacturing companies such as Lafarge, Plastic Omnium and Airbus. Prior to that, he worked for ABN Amro in equity sales in Paris. Mr Walewski graduated from the ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris with an MSc in Management, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Paris. He has also studied at the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow, India. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

TOSHIAKI YOKOHARA | Associate

Toshiaki Yokohara is an Associate based in Tokyo. Prior to joining BDA, Mr. Yokohara worked in the Accounting Division at American International Group (AIG) K.K. in Tokyo, where he conducted financial analysis on, and prepared financial statements for, Group's subsidiaries operating in Japan. He has experience in buy- and sell-side M&A in the Japanese automotive, advanced manufacturing, chemical and personal care industries, among others. Mr. Yokohara graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Meiji University. He also holds Master of Accountancy from Golden Gate University. He is fluent in English and Japanese.

AKHIL BHEDA | Analyst

Akhil Bheda is an Analyst based in Mumbai. Before joining BDA, Mr. Bheda worked as a Business Analyst at Infogenia Advisors in Mumbai, providing PE deal support and corporate advisory services. Prior to that, he worked for KPMG in their Financial Advisory Services team in Mumbai, providing financial due diligence services for M&A deals and PE investments in India and abroad. Mr. Bheda holds an MBA degree in Finance from S P Jain Center of Management, Dubai/Singapore and a Bachelors degree in Commerce, specializing in Banking and Insurance, from Mumbai University. ALICIA CAO | Analyst

Alicia Cao is an Analyst based in Shanghai. Before joining BDA, she worked in a logistics company based in London for 6 months where she held a marketing position communicating with both Chinese clients and partners in the Maldives. Prior to that, she achieved a master’s degree from Durham University in England majoring in International Banking and Finance. Ms. Cao earned her Bachelors in International trading and Economics from Jinlin University. Alicia is fluent in Mandarin and English.

MANUJ GOYAL | Analyst

Manuj Goyal is an Analyst based in Mumbai.  He previously worked at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Bombay which is India’s premier R&D facility focused on Nuclear Science and engineering.  Mr. Goyal graduated with a Bachelors degree in Technology, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.  He is fluent in Hindi and English.

ERIC KANG | Analyst

Eric Kang is an Analyst based in Seoul. Prior to joining BDA, Mr. Kang worked at Cash World in Canada, where he served as an ATM/POS Account Manager. He also worked as a lab assistant at Financial Research and Trading Lab, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, where he trained undergraduate and MBA students for using financial research applications. Mr. Kang is expected to receive a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto in Commerce Program with a specialization in Finance. He is fluent in English and Korean.

MAX KUBICKI | Analyst

Max Kubicki is an Analyst based in Shanghai. Before joining BDA, he studied Mandarin at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, where he was a recipient of the Chinese Government Scholarship. Prior to that, he worked as a Risk Analyst at AKE Group in London, a security and political risk consultancy, covering the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Kubicki graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Master’s degree in International Political Economy, and earned a Bachelor’s in East Asian Studies from New York University. He speaks Mandarin, English, and Polish.

WAYAN LEE | Analyst

Wayan Lee is an Analyst based in Taiwan. Before joining BDA, Mr. Lee worked as an analyst at EuroConsult, an investment banking firm in New York, where he introduced international M&A opportunities to Fortune 1000 companies. Before that, he worked in client relationship management at Wells Fargo Investments. Mr. Lee holds a BS in Business Management and a minor in Economics and Marketing from Purdue University. He is a CFA level 2 candidate and holds Series 7 & 66 licenses. He speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

ERIC LI | Analyst

Eric Li is an analyst based in Hong Kong. Before joining BDA, Mr. Li specialized in IPO’s and cross-border M&A for a Hong Kong based law firm D.S. Cheung & Co. Previously, Mr. Li worked for HSBC Global Markets, Hutchison Port Holdings, and The HKSAR Transport Bureau. Mr. Li holds a Bachelor of Law Degree, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

XIANG LI | Analyst

Xiang Li is an Analyst based in Shanghai. He previously worked in the Financial Research Department at the People’s Bank of China, where he reported on economic and financial data. He holds an MSc in Finance & Management from the Cranfield School of Management, UK and a BSc in Optical Information Science & Technology, Jilin University, China. His postgraduate thesis was titled ¨Country and industry effects in stock returns: evidence from developed countries and BRIC countries¨.

JORDAN SELLECK | Analyst

Jordan Selleck is an Analyst based in New York. Before joining BDA, Mr. Selleck lived in Shanghai for two years, studying Chinese and co-coordinating a business networking group. Before that, he worked in the Private Wealth Management Division at Merrill Lynch in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mr. Selleck holds a BS in Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is fluent in English and conversant in spoken and written Mandarin.

Akash Uba is an analyst based in Mumbai. He previously worked as a Rating Analyst with CRISIL, a Standard & Poor's company, where he undertook credit rating assignments for medium sized companies across various sectors. Gloria Wu is an Analyst based in Hong Kong. She previously worked at Cannell Capital in San Francisco, where she helped to establish and manage a private trust company. Rachel Xu is an Analyst based in Shanghai. Ms. Xu graduated from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong with a Masters Degree in Finance in 2010.  She previously attended Fudan University, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelors degree in English and International Economics and Trade.  She worked as an intern at L.E.K.
