CHRIS ADELMANN

Chris Adelmann is based in Los Angeles. He is EVP of Business Development at Live Nation. He has extensive experience in media consulting, investment banking and corporate development. His clients include Alcatel, AIG Capita, British Aerospace, Dutch Broadcasting, GE Capital, and Sony. He is Senior Adviser to Loews Cineplex, developing and executing their China strategy. Mr. Adelmann is also Adviser to Parkview International, of Hong Kong, advising them on their major, multi-use real estate development in Battersea Power Station in London. Prior to this he was EVP at Warner Brothers International Cinemas 1996-2001, driving growth to 1,200 screens in seven countries. Mr. Adelmann was Director, Worldwide Business Development, Hard Rock Café, the subsidiary of Rank PLC, 1993-96, and worked at Bankers Trust 1991-1993, where he advised companies and financial sponsors on cross border acquisitions and financings. Mr. Adelmann began his career in corporate finance with Lorimar Telepictures. He holds an MBA from UCLA (Anderson) and a BA from Hobart College.

JP LA FOREST

JP La Forest is a Senior Advisor based in Detroit. He was previously Director & Acting Country Manager of Tenneco Korea Ltd, a subsidiary of Tenneco Inc, a $6.2B auto components company. Before opening Tenneco’s office and operation in Korea, he worked on Korea, Japan, and China growth strategies as Director – Business Development. He previously co-founded Slingshot Solutions, which developed online marketplaces to accelerate asset recovery and reverse logistics. He worked as a consultant to the automotive industry, first with Booz•Allen & Hamilton and then at General Motors. He also lived in Japan and worked in China. He held product engineering roles at Tenneco and AAP St. Mary’s, a subsidiary of Hitachi Metals. He has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton.

PETER HARRIS

Peter Harris is a Senior Advisor based in Shanghai. He was formerly Senior Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Javelin Investments, a business consulting and advisory firm working for multinationals and Chinese companies to develop and grow, largely across borders. Before that, he was President, ARCO Chemical Asia-Pacific and directed business in China and Asia in excess of US$1bn per year. He held senior executive and financial management positions in Atlantic Richfield and Sun Oil over a period of three decades. Mr. Harris holds an MA degree in Chinese Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Chartered Accountant, lectures on business in China, and sits on the Executive Committee of the British Chamber of Executive Commerce of Shanghai.

MARK JUHN

Mark Juhn is based in Seoul. He is also CEO of Hyundai Corporation, a leading Korean trading company and exporter with operations in Machinery & Plant, Steel, Chemicals, Information & Telecoms. Mr. Juhn has played a key role in the development of the Korean automotive industry, with over 30 years of sector experience. He started his career with six years at General Motors, followed by 24 years at Hyundai Motor Company, where he was President and CEO of Hyundai Motor America, headed Hyundai Auto Canada, and headed Hyundai Motor Finance Company. He led Kia Motor as COO and head of International from 2000-2003. Mr. Juhn has a degree in industrial engineering from Seoul’s Hanyang University. He speaks fluent Korean, English and Spanish, and conversational Dutch.

PARTHIV KILACHAND

Parthiv Kilachand is a Senior Advisor based in Mumbai. He is entrepreneur, involved in JVs and operations with Connell Bros Co, USA (for manufacturing and distribution of specialty chemicals) and AVX Corp, USA (for capacitors). He is the founder of Sun Tan Trading Co, the authorized distributor for Diageo in India for its premium spirits including Johnnie Walker, J&B, Smirnoff. He was previously a venture capitalist at Antfactory. He makes strategic investments and sits on several Boards including the franchisee for the Hard Rock Café in India, and a specialized warehousing company. He is also a member of the Mumbai Angels, an early stage angel investing group in Mumbai. Parthiv has been active in the Indian Merchants Chamber and the West Wind Nursery school, and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization. He was educated at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, at Eton College in England and Brown University in the USA, from where he holds a dual Bachelors degree in Engineering and Economics.

YUUICHIRO NAKAJIMAA

Yuuichiro Nakajima is based in Tokyo. Mr. Nakajima was Founder and formerly a Managing Partner of a Tokyo-based merchant bank, Crimson Phoenix. From 1999 to 2003 Mr. Nakajima was Managing Director in the investment banking business of PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and Tokyo. From 1997 to 1999 Mr. Nakajima was Director and Head of Execution at Crosby Corporate Advisory in London. Mr. Nakajima joined S.G. Warburg (now UBS Investment Bank) in 1987 in London and served as Head of its Tokyo M&A team from 1994 to 1996. Mr. Nakajima was educated at Keio University (Economics) and London Business School (Business Administration). He is bilingual in Japanese and English.

FRANCOIS PERIER
