The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) has disclosed figures that show a 15% decrease in passenger vehicle sales and a 6% decrease in commercial vehicles sales for 1997. High interest rates and the scarcity of financing will likely result in a further drop in sales for 1998. (January 15th 1998)
