PHILIPPINES
The Tosoh Polyvin Corp, a JV between Japanese Tosoh
Corp and local Philippine companies, will build a plant to produce
vinyl chloride resins in the Philippines. Tosoh Corp has a 70% stake
in the venture with the remainder held by the local companies. The
total planned investment for the JV is US$12m and the plant will produce
12,000 tpa. (July 10th 1998)
