The company already exports to Malaysia, Hong Kong and Korea. Bayer Indonesia has two production facilities in greater Jakarta. One facility manufactures pharmaceutical and OTC products, the other manufactures consumer care and crop protection products. (July 28th 1998) The World Bank has approved a US$44.7m loan for Indonesia’s Fifth
Health Project to improve healthcare in rural and low-income communities.
The project aims to improve both the availability and efficiency of healthcare
services. The total estimated cost of the project is US$56.3m, to
be funded by the World Bank loan as well as the Indonesian Government’s
contribution of US$11.6m. (July 27th 1998)
